BEACHES OF GOA

Colva Beach:

It is one of the most popular beaches in Goa, stretching 20 km along the coast. The beach itself is magnificent with beautiful white sand. Has good accommodation facilities, particularly at the tourist cottages.

7 kms from Panaji, it is an idyllic picturesque spot, commanding a fine view of the Zuari river and Mormugao Harbour. Water scootering facilities are available here. It is a small palm fringed beach with casuarina groves and is very peaceful. It is named after a Viceroy's daughter who reportedly jumped from the cliffs when refused permission to marry a fisherman. 3 kms from Panaji. A lovely golden beach of soft sand girdled with palm trees facing the blue Arbian Sea, is the nearest to Panaji.
